Our training takes place in central Chelmsford, Essex. Our location in the central heart of Essex means we’re highly accessible; we currently have students travelling to us from Southend-on-sea, Colchester, Brentwood, Braintree, Great Dunmow, Witham, Thorpe Bay, Benfleet, Rayleigh, Chelmsford, Basildon, and even as far afield as Suffolk and Hertfordshire!

WHERE?

This is one of the most common questions we’re asked, and the answer is NO.

We believe that our training programme is strong enough to ensure that any student who works hard and is passionate about musical theatre can achieve their goals with us. We also believe that auditioning students could create a barrier to entry that might mean we miss a future superstar simply due to nerves or personal access requirements. If you are looking to train with us, it’s likely you know you want to work on developing your skills - and it may well be that the last thing you want to do at this stage of your journey is be judged by a room of strangers!

For this reason, applications are always open for entry to the school, and you should expect to secure a place to train with us, unless:
We are in the final stages of rehearsing for a performance, or
There are already 25 students in the class for your child’s age group.

This is because we have a strict limit of 25 students per class. The limit means that no-one can be lost in a crowd, and our staff can truly get to know each individual, and genuinely support their progress and aspirations.

DO YOU Have to AUDITION?

We do not and will never operate an exclusivity policy. Generally, around 40-50% of our students also attend other theatre groups, dance schools, or similar institutions, and then come to us on Saturdays for best-in-class musical theatre training.

It is very rare for any one school to be able to offer the best possible training in every area of performing arts across acting, singing, and all styles of dance; we understand and in many cases expect that students will elect to take additional classes at other schools, particularly in highly specialist disciplines for which we don’t offer specific classes, like ballet, tap, or acrobatic arts.

All we ask is that we are made and kept aware of your child’s other commitments, so we can ensure we manage their workload and our expectations accordingly.

On our part, we always make sure to publish our term dates at least 6 months in advance, and we notify parents of important dates, production dates, and any other important commitments at least 12 months in advance, to avoid clashes as much as possible.

EXCLUSIVITY

Fees

Fees are generally paid per term (every four months), however there are options for parents in need to pay half-termly (every two months), or every month. The choice of payment structure does not affect the notice policy.
