Since opening in September 2022, we have hosted four exclusive masterclasses with Broadway star and globally-renowned vocalist Natalie Weiss.

Natalie has worked with Broadway greats and iconic TV personalities including Tori Kelly, Ben Platt, Katharine McPhee, Pentatonix, Gaten Matarazzo, Shoshana Bean and Cheyenne Jackson, and performed to sold-out audiences around the world.

Her voice can be heard on The Greatest Showman soundtrack, Dear Evan Hansen Broadway cast recording, The Incredibles 2 soundtrack, and various musical theatre composers’ albums. She has performed on Broadway in Everyday Rapture, Off-Broadway in Emojiland, in US tours of Wicked & Les Misérables, regional productions of Beautiful, Ghost, and Chess, and at the Academy Awards in 2018. She was also an American Idol Season 4 semi-finalist. 

Natalie is also internationally known for her iconic “Breaking Down the Riffs” series on YouTube, with her channel accruing well over 240,000 subscribers and 32 million views.

At each masterclass, students took part in a group lesson focusing on contemporary vocal technique and music theory, and selected students had the opportunity to perform a solo song and receive specialised, specific feedback from Natalie in an open, workshop-style setting.

Natalie says: “I am so blown away by the talent at The Musical Theatre Centre... some of the best young performances I have ever seen. I usually work with older age groups, but these young performers are so mature, and receptive... I just had the best time! I cannot imagine being that good when I was their age! They are getting amazing training at The Musical Theatre Centre.”
